Plans that provide Americans with
more choice or freedom as you claim, but don’t cover anything, that’s not a
choice. And the problem is that in reading insurance policies, which very,
very few people do, you are at the mercy of the entity that is providing the
policy to tell you what it contains. I’m a lawyer, I have been for more
than 30 years, I’ve read more than my share of insurance policies of all kinds.
I can tell you that even to somebody trained to read these documents they are
very, very difficult to understand. And so, I think that this bill is absolutely
essential. I believe that the proposal, the
amendment, is a further effort to sabotage the Affordable Care Act and
I urge my colleagues to oppose the amendment. Thank you, I yield back.
